In 1971, Silvino Cordeiro immigrated to Canada with the dream of raising his family and forming a Construction company capable of providing superior quality and workmanship to clients. After 2 years of struggles, working in various fields including cleaning and road maintenance, Cordeiro & Sons House Repairs was born.
Silvino takes pride in workmanship and quality. Initially a Stone Mason in Portugal, he learned all the trades available to him. As his sons grew older, he took the time to teach those skills to them. He takes great pride in knowing that his five sons can use their skills to complete any project. A skill set that includes Architectural Design, project management, carpentry, masonry, flooring, concrete finishing, stick framing, welding , demolition and more. His sons were encouraged to complete their education in their chosen fields using hard work and dedication to further themselves.
Through the years, with his sons assisting him, Silvino took Cordeiro and Sons from basement renovations and garage construction to working with some of Toronto’s top designers and renovating new commercial and retail spaces around the GTA. Through the 90’s and into the millennium, Cordeiro and Sons added high rise residential renovations to the list of their projects.Silvino Cordeiro , with family, has fulfilled his dream of building a company he is proud of.

In 1998, Sil Cordeiro began his Professional career as Architectural Technologist. He used the skills and experience working with Cordeiro and Sons to build successful career in architecture. In 13 years Sil went from a draftsman on various shopping malls and airports around the world to a Project Manager for a very successful architectural firm, E.I. Richmond Architects Inc.
Specializing in high rise residential and Commercial buildings, Sil Cordeiro lead teams of professionals through the planning and construction stages to complete several high rise and commercial buildings in the GTA. His responsibilities included site planning, construction documents completion, building permit approvals, Site administration, Site inspections, Construction coordination, tender submissions and more. He is responsible for the completion of approximately 25 high rise condominiums and commercial projects in the GTA.
In 2013, Sil decided to leave the Architectural field to join Cordeiro and Sons, Full time. His skills in all aspects of construction and management have added another dimension to the Company.
An integral part of Cordeiro and Sons, Sil has lead our construction crews through many projects on time and within budget. His attention to customer service and detail have proved to be an important addition to the company. His architectural knowledge and design experience help our clients choose alternative methods and materials that will improve not only the aesthetics but also the performance.

In 2004, as a Business Management graduate, Rob Cordeiro joined Cordeiro and Sons. Immediately, Cordeiro and Sons was the benefactor of Rob’s ideas.
Rob was responsible for building professional relationships with new clients. His leadership enabled Cordeiro and Sons to expand into the high rise residential and restaurant renovation markets. Over the years, Rob has maintained relationships with clients, worked with them to ensure work is completed within their budgets. Rob is always up to the task to providing a solution to budget issues.
Rob not only used his business knowledge to improve the company, he also had his construction knowledge and skills to assist on projects when needed.
To further himself and the company, Rob became a licensed Real Estate Agent. Through this addition, Rob has added commercial and residential knowledge in the real estate sector.
Rob has also successfully lead our construction crews through many projects on time and within budget. His commitment to client relations have made him an essential part to our success. His business and real estate knowledge help our clients on a daily basis.
